Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 July 2026
Agreement
By accessing or using Lecturai at lecturai.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Lecturai helps students upload lecture materials and generate study outputs such as summaries, notes, flashcards, quizzes, and AI tutoring responses.
Features, plans, and limits may change over time. We may introduce, modify, or discontinue functionality with reasonable notice where practicable.
Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
Acceptable use
You may only upload and process content you have the right to use (for example, your own notes or materials provided for your personal academic use).
You must not misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, circumvent usage limits, probe security, harass others, or use outputs to violate academic integrity policies of your institution.
You remain responsible for how you use study outputs in coursework and exams under your university’s rules.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service for you.
Generated outputs are provided for your personal study use, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
AI outputs
AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your context. It is not academic, legal, or professional advice. Always verify critical information against your primary materials and instructors.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe according to the pricing shown at purchase. Taxes may apply.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage billing through the customer portal where available, or contact support.
Except where required by law, fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started.
Intellectual property
The Service, branding, and software are owned by Lecturai and its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except as allowed by law.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lecturai and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of grades, data, profits, or goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or £50 if greater and you have not paid).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we need to protect the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
